Domestic telecom vendors refute BSNL’s views on the reliability of indigenous equipment

Domestic telecom vendors have refuted Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s (BSNL) views on the reliability of indigenous equipment.

According to them, such products meet necessary standards, and can only be supplied after accessing quality.

In this regard, the Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council (TEPC) has written a letter to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) stating that the remarks by BSNL on the quality of products are absolutely vague and not specific. Further, TEPC stated that the indigenous equipment is purchased by BSNL after proper testing and infrastructure assessment.
