Dayanidhi Maran says that OneIndia policy will be in place by January 2006

The communications and information technology minister, Dayanidhi Maran, has said that the OneIndia policy, ending differential call tariffs between domestic long distance and local calls, will be in place by January 2006. DoT will be required to finalise the details of the new regime in the next 52 days. The ministry has, however, decided to keep TRAI out of the tariff rebalancing initiative.
