With an aim to encourage sales of its tablets, the tablet manufacturer, Datawind plans to offer users buying UbiSlate series of tablets free data usage for a year.
The operator has partnered with two operators to provide free data usage to consumers buying UbiSlate tablets including 7Cx, 7C Plus, 7CZ and 3G7. These tablets are priced between Rs 3,999 and Rs 4,999.
While the users will be offered free data usage, the service provider will be paid off by the tablet maker. The company aims to generate revenues from advertisements and services offered on top of the tablet to support the free data usage offer to buyers.
