CtrlS Datacenters has announced availability of 300 MW grid power for its Mumbai data centre campus. This will ensure availability of power to customers at all times, being able to feed the datacentre campus anytime.
The power capacity enhancement from 150 MW to 300 MW makes the company’s gas insulated substation (GIS) the only substation in Asia, which is capable to support 300 MW power capacity. This will enable the company to offer reliable power to meet evolving demands and needs of hyperscalers and enterprise customers. The company further aims to enhance the capacity to 700 MW to cater the growing energy demands in Mumbai.
Key features of CtrlS Datacenters’ Mumbai GIS include:
- Fully automated GIS requiring no manual operations.
- Ensures 100 per cent uptime for the datacentre campus.
- Three different power sources fed into the GIS, reducing dependency on generators further reducing carbon emissions.
- Built-in redundancy with (2+1) power supply.
- Line in line out (LILO) plus radial incoming 220 kV feeders.
- Eliminates voltage jerks on the existing 22kV power supply line.
- 24×7 monitoring and control by a hot standby redundant supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system for seamless switchover in case of failure.
