Minister of State for Communications and IT Sanjay Dhotre has informed the Rajya Sabha that the communications ministry, in consultation with stakeholders, has started preparing a spectrum roadmap for the next 10 years.
It was also noted that 5G services would be introduced gradually, and will advance to full range as the ecosystem and demand for services grow.
Meanwhile, the parliament was also informed that registration of entities such as public data office aggregators (PDOAs) and app providers as envisaged under the PM-WANI scheme for proliferation of broadband through public Wi-Fi, has started from January 07, 2021.
