Communications and IT minister Dayanidhi Maran has rejected Ratan Tata’s proposal to impose security riders (stated in Press Note 5) on companies with a majority foreign shareholding.
According to Tata, the security riders relating to the increased FDI limit should not be imposed on TTSL as its foreign shareholding is well within the 49 per cent limit.
