Bharti Airtel has said that the government has removed its name from the denied entry list after the telco highlighted the relevant details and documents which it had submitted to the Directorate General of Foreign Trade’s (DGFT).

Earlier the DGFT under the Commerce Ministry had put Airtel in the denied entry list for non-fulfilment of export obligations under the Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) scheme.

However, Airtel had denied taking any such licence since April 2018 and had claimed that it has already applied for the closure of all past licences that were due and is awaiting approval from the authorities.
