Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS) is planning to set up a large hyperscale data centre on a 15-acre land parcel in Navi Mumbai’s Airoli locality with an investment of around Rs 85 billion.
It will set up the new 100 MW data centre adjacent to its existing operational data centre that has nearly 25 MW capacity in Airoli, making it a hyperscale and enterprise solution data centre campus. The move is part of the firm’s plan to set up such campuses across India’s key markets over the next few years.
The company has also earmarked around Rs 35 billion to set up a hyperscale data centre with capacity of 80 MW in Chennai and has already acquired a 10-acre land parcel in Ambattur locality for around Rs 2.5 billion for the same.
