Colt Data Centre Services (DCS) has launched its first data centre in Navi Mumbai, India. The data centre marks Cold DCS’ strategic expansion and commitment towards catering to the increasing demand of hyperscale cloud service providers and large enterprises businesses in the Indian data centre market.

The data centre will be able to provide customers with flexibility and scalability considering it is spread out across 15 acres of land and is capable of supporting 120MW of IT power capacity. The flexible and scalable design of the data centre will allow them to meet the dynamic demands of the emerging technologies and use cases like generative artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, machine learning, and other computer intensive cloud applications. The data centre also has a highly resilient 220kV gas insulated substation (GIS) onsite with line-in line-out (LILO) configurations.

Further, the data centre includes a multi-layered security with combination of hardened physical parameters, access control and around the clock surveillance. The site has also undergone a comprehensive threat, vulnerability and risk assessment and been categorised as low-risk site.
