Cognizant has appointed Rajesh Nambiar as the chairman and managing director of its India business, with effect from November 09, 2020. He would also serve as the member of the company’s executive committee.
Prior to this, Nambiar was serving as the president of Ciena India. Before that he worked for over 12 years at IBM as the general manager and global leader for IBM’s application services business.
He also served on the board of IBM India and as a member of The National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) Executive Council while at IBM. Nambiar had also worked at Tata Consultancy Services in the past, where he stayed for and 18 years.
