CMC appoints Prof M S Ananth as independent director

CMC Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Consultancy Services Limited, has appointed Prof M S Ananth as independent director.

Ananth was a director on the Board of Tata Chemicals. At present he is also serving as a director on the board of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited and UCAL Fuel Systems Limited. He is also a visiting Professor of India Institute of Science, Bangalore.

Prior to his new appointment at CMC Limited, Ananth was Director, IIT-Madras from 2001 to 2011. Ananth is a B.Tech from Madras University and ME/Ph.D from University of Florida, USA.  He has authored a number of publications and contributed to research in Chemical Engineering and Thermodynamics.
