The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has granted a unified licence (UL) to cloud communications and contact centre solutions provider, RingCentral.  The licence will permit the company to offer its unified communications as a service (UCaaS) and contact centre as a service (CCaaS) solutions in India.

The company stated that it will provide access to RingCentral’s Message Video Phone (MVP) solutions globally, including India, to help organisations transition to the cloud. The company further stated that it will first build local infrastructure in India and work with the DoT to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
