Cisco reportedly plans to appoint Jeff White as the head of its Indian operations, says news reports.
White is currently the vice-president of the vendor’s service provider business in Asia Pacific, Japan and China. He is expected to replace Naresh Wadhwa as the new president and country manager for India and the SAARC region. Wadhwa, having spent 15 years with Cisco, is leaving the company to start his own venture.
The leadership change at Cisco has been necessitated by increasing competition in the market from players like HP and Dell. The company is restructuring its top management in an effort to consolidate its position in the market.
