The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with IMRB has released a joint research paper, Adoption of Cloud in MSMEs at the CII Cloud Summit 2013 event.
The paper documents the adoption of cloud services in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in India, trends observed in this space and the process that MSMEs should follow for selecting right vendors for cloud services.

.MSMEs ought to adopt a five step approach to cloud adoption starting from the public cloud to non-mission critical activities. This includes adopting public cloud based web hosting services; evaluate cloud services for a short timeframe; migrate email and collaboration services; evaluate the services and vendor and migrate non-mission critical data to the public cloud.
