Chunghwa Telecom is planning to build a long term evolution (LTE) network by 2011. The company’s research and development division is experimenting with the 4G technology at present and has collaborated with six other firms ?? HTC, Asustek Computer, HT mMobile, Coiler, the Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Institute for Information Industry ?? to develop LTE products and solutions suited to the country’s telecom market.
