As a promotional offer, the company is providing free internet access for mobile subscribers in Beijing. Under the scheme, Beijing Telecom will offer free internet services to users who subscribe to its mobile services before July 30, 2009. It is also offering local call tariffs of RMB0.11-0.19, a drop of 72 per cent, if users choose the company’s monthly packages that range from RMB49 to RMB189.
