China Telecom and China Netcom have signed an agreement to limit competition between them. The deal is aimed at battling competition from larger mobile operators in the country such as China Mobile and China Unicom. This will also enable China Telecom and China Netcom to benefit from the government’s proposed amalgamation of the country’s telecom network with its broadcasting and internet networks.
