China Mobile has chalked out plans to increase its TD-LTE footprint across China.

In so far, since the launch of the pilot project in 2011, the operator has built 22,000 TD-LTE base stations and has offered trials in fifteen cities.

This year, it plans to launch TD-LTE services in more than 100 cities across China before the end of this year. The company plans to establish over 200,000 TD-LTE base stations. It also plans to procure over 1 million TD-LTE handsets.
