
Subramanian Swamy, president, the Janata Party has reportedly released a set of documents to prove that P. Chidambaram, Minister of Home Affairs, had discussed the issue of pricing 2G spectrum at 2001 rates with A. Raja, former Minister of Telecommunications and IT.
The documents are dated July 2008 and reportedly highlight that Chidambaram and Raja also discussed spectrum usage charges and the price of 3G bandwidth.
The documents stated, ?It has been agreed that the base price of 2G spectrum shall be determined by considering the entry fee of Rs 16.50 billion, determined in 2003-04 for the pan India operations of UASL licensees as the price of 6.2 MHz of bandwidth for GSM operators.?
Swamy said that he will file these documents before the court in Delhi on December 3 when the case comes up for hearing.
