While launching the Chaze brand of hand-helds in Jammu and Kashmir, the K.R. Mangalam Group has announced an investment of Rs 2 billion to establish two assembly units in Uttaranchal and Himachal Pradesh.

According to Keshav Arora, CEO, Chaze Mobiles, the first unit will be established in six months at Roorkee in Uttranchal.

Arora added that the company plans to expand its footprint to Russia, the UAE, Africa, Sri Lanka and Nepal. That apart, it plans to enhance its product portfolio to memory cards, tablets, laptops, LCDs and LEDs.
