According to Ceragon, it has received follow-on orders from tier-1 telcos in India, totaling over $35 million in Q2 as operators are preparing for 5G network rollout expected in 2022.

The company has been selected to participate in field trials in India that aim to connect 5G sites using Ceragon’s ultra-high mmW frequency technology, Ceragon added.

Further, Ceragon stated that the spectrum auction conducted in March 2021,  the Covid-19 pandemic that necessitated work-from-home and study-from-home practices, as well as, preparations to support 5G roll out served as the driving factors for operators to expand their networks.
