The government is reportedly exploring a multi-vendor-led model for rolling out the new network of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).

Under the multi-vendor-led model, 4G network will be built and managed by a system integrator, which will buy hardware and software from different companies like Nokia, Ericsson and other foreign vendors and assemble them.

Recently, the government cancelled the Rs 86.97 billion 4G tender and blocked China-based vendors like Huawei and ZTE under new guidelines.
