The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) reportedly plans to oppose the bail requests of five individuals indicted in the 2G spectrum case.

It is believed that the bail requests of Sanjay Chandra, managing director, Unitech Wireless; Vinod Goenka, director, Swan Telecom and three executives of Reliance Communications will be rejected.

Prior to this, the CBI did not oppose the bail plea of Kanimozhi, Sharad Kumar, managing director, Kalaignar TV; Asif Balwa and Rajiv Agarwal, directors of Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables, and Karim Morani.

It had, however, opposed the bail plea of Shahid Balwa, Swan Telecom?s promoter and former Minister of Telecommunications and IT, A. Raja’s former private secretary R.K. Chandolia.
