The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned Amit Sarin, Director and CEO of Anant Raj Industries Limited to examine the company?s links with the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG), say news reports.
It is believed that the CBI questioned Sarin with regard to Anant Raj Industries? financial dealings with ADAG. In response, Sarin told the agency that the company had entered a joint venture with ADAG six years ago for two hotels. He maintained that his company had no role to play in the 2G issue.
This comes after the agency told the Supreme Court that Reliance Communications held substantial stake in Swan Telecom, which was one of the companies that had bagged the 2G spectrum license.
