CapitaLand India Trust Management Private Limited, the trustee manager of CapitaLand India Trust (CLINT), plans to invest around Rs 19.4 billion over the next four to five years to acquire and develop a 55 MW data centre in Ambattur, Chennai.
The firm has acquired 4.01 acre land in Ambattur, Chennai for Rs 800 million, the acquisition for which is expected to be completed by December 2022. The data centre has been scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
This will be CLINT’s third data centre in the country. The data centre is expected to host customers such as global technology giants and cloud service providers besides large domestic enterprises.
