The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has directed Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to submit the revenue sharing details of private telecom operators between 2006 and 2013.
In a communication to TRAI, the national auditor has said that Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has commenced the assessment process of licence fee and spectrum usage charges paid by the operators since 2006-07. Following DoT?s action, TRAI too should initiate the process of sourcing revenue sharing details from service providers.
CAG has directed TRAI to ask telecom operators to submit their revenue sharing details by June 20, 2013.
