Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has officially announced the name of its 5G services as ‘Quantum 5G’ (Q5G). Earlier, the telecom operator had invited the public to suggest a name for its 5G offerings, which are planned for launch once the 4G network achieves stability.
In a separate announcement made by the BSNL UP East account, the company introduced ‘BSNL Quantum 5G FWA’ as part of its upcoming service offerings.
A banner on BSNL’s website promoted the service with the tagline: “BSNL Q-5G, the Quantum Leap- first 5G FWA without SIM. No Wires, Blazing Fast, Secure, Reliable, and Affordable.”
As per the company, the fixed wireless access (FWA) service will function as an internet lease line over 5G for enterprise users. It will initially launch in selected cities within specific circles, with pricing starting at Rs 999. The offering includes high-speed data but does not support voice services.
