
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) plans to launch 4G-enabled internet services in Indore by May 2013. Further, the operator is likely to introduce the Wi-Fi-based ‘internet on wheels’ service in financial year 2013.
Through this facility, users can download data at a speed of 8 Mbps. BSNL will also roll out the first of its modules providing Wi-Fi-based internet to motorists. BSNL’s internet-activated car kit would be available in three models, priced at Rs 6,500, Rs 27, 500 and Rs 29, 500. These car kits include a standard dial-up plan priced at Rs 250 per month.
Consumers will have to pay additional charges for downloads and fixed monthly charges for accessing the e-car facility.
