
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is reportedly planning to launch 4G services in six circles by March 2016. The company is holding discussions with telecom operators Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) and Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) for the same.
Presently, BSNL is in the process of overhauling its operations and upgrading its networks. It is also considering, converging its wireless and wire-line networks to provide 4G services. The company is also setting up Wi-Fi hotspots across the country integrated with 3G and 4G networks. The company is investing about Rs 70 billion for the same, and the project is likely to be completed over the next two years.
