
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is likely to complete its 2G and 3G network expansion project in the eastern and north-eastern states by mid-2014. The operator plans to pump in close to Rs 15 billion for the same.
Following the completion of the project, service quality and capacity would get a boost in the eastern region of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand and the north eastern states.
The operator is expanding its GSM network in the region by adding over four million new lines. BSNL has partnered with ZTE to expand its telecom infrastructure in these states.
