Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is reportedly expected to award an order for telecom equipment valued at Rs 10 billion to HFCL Limited.
The contract is meant for the supply and deployment of optical transport network (OTN) equipment to the company. According to industry sources, the company is most likely to receive the purchase order as it quoted the lowest price.
Furthermore, the telco has been procuring indigenous telecom gear for its networks, and is procuring indigenous devices for its 4G services too.
