Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has tested its 4G network in Bijapur district of Karnataka. According to the telco, 1,018 villages will experience enhanced mobile connectivity.

The telco aims to connect the district and tehsil offices with satellite services to streamline communications. This will help with bridging the digital divide. In addition, BSNL’s 4G networks that are been deployed are 5G ready.

BSNL also added that telco is conducting tests in many parts of the country to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the networks.

As per the telco, the first target is to launch 4G in 0.1 million sites which will take almost two years.
