The ongoing carriage charges issue between Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and private operators is at a deadlock and has impacted emergency services in Pune.
BSNL had suspended the connections between private operators and its landline users, owing to alleged non-payment of dues.
As a result, users cannot connect to emergency numbers such as the police, fire brigade, ambulance and hospital services.
Also, BSNL users are unable to make outgoing calls to the private operators? networks as well.
