BSNL has revised the pulse and call tariffs for calls made from PCOs, including those that are of the coin collection type. As per the tariffs implemented in the first week of January, customers will pay Rs 2 for a 120-second call against the earlier Re 1 for a 90-second pulse. The commission rate has also been increased to Re 0.50 per call from Re 0.40. The state-owned company is providing a few additional facilities as well. Customers will now be allowed to call both fixed line wireless and wireless in local loop (WLL) phones within a radius of 50 km from a PCO. Besides, they will also be able to access any mobile network in their circle from a PCO.
