Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has achieved a significant milestone with 501 4G sites operational in Karnataka as part of its 4G saturation and phase 9.2 project, bridging connectivity gaps in rural areas.

With the saturation project, BSNL aims to cover rural or uncovered villages with high-speed internet connectivity.

In a nationwide effort, BSNL announced the successful deployment of 10,000 4G sites in July 2024 under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The telco is collaborating with Indian companies for this rollout.

Additionally, BSNL is also preparing to launch 4G services in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu districts under the Phase 9.2 project, planning to install 2,114 4G towers.
