Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is reportedly planning to partner with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and Deloitte to map out a plan for improving its financial health and formulating a merger plan with Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL).
The partnership is expected to help BSNL attain profitability and simplify legal issues associated with the merger. This move comes quite adjacent to the decision of the telcos to sign a memorandum of understanding to drive synergy of operations.
