BSNL partners EESL to set up EV charging stations across the country

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to install charging stations for electric vehicles (EV).

As per the terms of the agreement, EESL will set up public EV charging stations at 1,000 BSNL sites in a phased manner across the country. Meanwhile, BSNL will provide the requisite space and power connections for installing the charging infrastructure.

Further, EESL will make the entire upfront investment on the services pertaining to the MoU. In addition, the operation and maintenance of the charging infrastructure will also come under the ambit of EESL, which will deploy qualified personnel for this purpose.
