Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has partnered with Echelon Edge to set up private 5G network for enterprise customers. The agreement was signed on January 16, 2023, for the empanelment of the latter as a captive non-public network provider (CNPNP) for the provision of CNPN services to enterprise customers. This partnership will enable Echelon Edge to be a provider of private long-term evolution (LTE) and 5G services under the BSNL spectrum allocated for private networks. The firm will set up and maintain private networks for its customers in partnership with the telco.
According to Echelon Edge, the partnership will bolster the company’s efforts to be a trustworthy and reliable provider of captive networks with 5G coming into play. It will be able to provide a high-quality network ensuring full automation of the operations and assuring network security that protects the businesses’ data. The partnership with BSNL will help the firm to provide seamless connectivity and 5G solutions to its customers in several sectors and domains. The company aims to deploy private 5G in mines, refineries, airports and office buildings.
