Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) plans to evaluate financial bids and shortlist companies who will be responsible for setting-up telecom towers in the naxal affected states.
Earlier in August 2013, the operator had floated tenders for supply, installation, testing, operation and maintenance of 1,315 2G telecom sites in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal. Following, the technical evolution of bids, BSNL is likely to review financial bids for the tender over the next 10 to 12 days.
As many as 11 players participated in the pre-bid conference and only three players submitted technical bids for the tender.
