Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), India?s leading telecom service provider today announced that it has launched mobile number portability (MNP) special tariff offer for its 2G and 3G prepaid and post-paid customers. The advantage of MNP offer is to provide the best talk time to customers moving to BSNL.

No porting charges shall be levied to customers moving to BSNL. Besides this the SIM card for 2G/3G shall be provided free of cost, along with an additional talk value of Rs 100 for prepaid customers. These freebies will be provided in addition to the normal free talk value associated with FRC. Moreover, along with this 5GB GPRS/3G will be free of charge for one month. The post paid customers moving to BSNL shall also have 50 per cent rebate on the first month charges besides free SIM and waiver of Port in charge.

Launching the MNP, Gopal Das, chairman and managing director (CMD), BSNL said, ?The aim of this initiative is to provide the best value to the customers so that they enjoy the BSNL services spread over the entire country. BSNL has the strongest brand proposition, superior network quality, innovative and differentiated products and services and greater transparency in billing.?

BSNL has the largest 3G coverage in India covering about 700 cities and also has widest 2G coverage in every nook and corner of the country. It is hoped that customers shall avail the attractive value proposition of BSNL 3G data and GPRS Plans. The customers having a landline telephone shall benefit from the popular ?Pyari Jodi? scheme of BSNL where calls from the Mobile to BSNL landline are free in the service area. All the Customers porting into BSNL network shall have the option of availing all 3G facilities. The fixed monthly charges for 3G post paid customers are same as that of 2G customers. Thus it is a great opportunity for the customers to move to BSNL with2G number and avail the BSNL 3G network.
