Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched its mobile 2G services in Vijaynagar administrative circle of Arunachal Pradesh through satellite network.
The remote circle is located close to the Indo-Myanmar border and is inhabited by 4,400 people spread across 16 villages. Until now, the region was devoid of any kind of telecom connectivity. However, now the people of Vijaynagar will be able to communicate with people from the rest of the world with the launch of the telecommunication facility.
As per government oficials, the 2G BSNL connection with solar power will vitalise the growth of this region.
