Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced new unlimited data plans under very high bit rate Digital Subscriber Line (VDSL) for broadband users in the Visakhapatnam district. The three plans introduced are 1745 VDSL, 2845 VDSL, and 3445 VDSL with download speeds up to 8 mbps, 16 mbps and 24 mbps respectively. The monthly charges for the three unlimited VDSL broadband plans are Rs 1,745, Rs 2,845, and Rs 3,445 respectively.
Under these plans, there is no limit on the download or upload by subscribers and they can avail e-mail IDs/space and a static IP address. These features are free of cost for the last two plans and require an additional charge of Rs 1,800 a year for the 1745 plan. The VDSL technology provides data transmission faster than the Asymmetric Subscriber Dial Line and is useful for professionals who require high data speed for downloads.
