Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched new tariffs for STD calls made to landline numbers. Users will be charged between Re 0.80 and Rs 1.20 for a three-minute STD call. This tariff has been introduced with a view to arrest the fall in fixed-line connections.
Users will not have to shell out any additional charge. Calls to mobile numbers of other operators will be charged Re 1 per minute. This facility is available to all fixed-line customers across all tariff plans.
