Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has installed more than 94,500 4G towers across India, falling slightly short of its target of reaching 1,00,000 towers by June 2025.
According to the Union Minister of Communication, over 80-85 per cent of the installed 4G towers have now been commissioned.
Additionally, the minister confirmed that 5G services have reached 99.6 per cent of districts in India and currently cover 82 per cent of the population. Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has also entered the 5G segment, and coverage may further expand if Vi targets areas which are overlooked by its competitors.
