The service will be offered by the operator at a fixed monthly rental of Rs 140. It is planning to roll out these services in rural areas across the country by end-2010. The company is currently in the process of awarding the Rs 10 billion Wi-Max equipment project, and has so far shortlisted Gemini Communications, ZTE and Harris Stratex, which now await security clearance from DoT.
