BSNL has cleared the first round of bidding to acquire a majority stake in Zambia Telecommunications and is now eligible to bid in the second round. Apart from BSNL, Libya’s LAP Greencom and LAP Green Networks, Angola’s Unitel, and the Russian team of Vimpel Communications and Altimo Holdings have also been selected for the second round of bidding for Zambia’s only fixed line operator.
