Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has started the roll out of 4G services in Chennai.
The company aims to install around 300 towers each month. Under the first phase, about 1,000 towers will be installed by the end of September 2024. The next phase of 1,000 installations would be completed by the end of December 2024.
The telco also aims to cover the rural areas which do not have any kind of connectivity provided by any operator under this project.
According to the company, 5G services roll out would resume from 2025.
