Banavathu Venkateswarlu, an officer of the Indian Telecommunications Service (ITS), has assumed charge as chief general manager (CGM) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Tamil Nadu circle on June 19, 2024.
He previously served as principal general manager (PGM) of the Bangalore telecom district before joining the Tamil Nadu telecom circle.
Further, Venkateswarlu has extensive experience in administration, projects, installation, and maintenance of telecom networks, having worked in various capacities across the Karnataka telecom circle and the Andaman and Nicobar islands.
