Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a promotional standalone broadband plan called ‘Work@Home’ for all its existing landline customers that don’t have broadband in all the circles. The services under this plan will be provided free of cost for one month. This plan has been introduced keeping in mind the huge number of people that have started working from home amidst growing coronavirus concerns.

The move could also help BSNL in converting its landline users to broadband users and to better compete with private players like Airtel, Reliance Jio and other internet service providers.

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has upgraded the benefits of its 4G data vouchers to provide double data and additional non Jio talktime on these vouchers to keep users connected.

As part of this move, the 4G data vouchers of Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51 and Rs 101, now come with 800 MB, 2GB, 6GB and 12 GB of data, respectively. Further, voice calls to non Jio numbers has also being bundled with these vouchers. Consequently, the Rs 11, Rs 21, Rs 51 and Rs 101 vouchers now offer 75, 200, 500 and 1000 minutes respectively of outgoing talktime to any non-Jio network across the country.
