Brookfield, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC have divested a combined 7.27 per cent stake in Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust (Altius InvIT) through open market transactions worth approximately Rs 36.56 billion.

The transactions involved the sale of more than 221.5 million units in Altius InvIT. Brookfield, through its affiliate BIF IV Jarvis India Pte Limited, sold 137.5 million units in four tranches, while GIC’s arm Anahera Investment Pte Ltd offloaded nearly 55.3 million units. BCI, through Rossland IMC Limited Partnership, sold 28.6 million units, according to exchange data.

The units were sold at prices ranging from Rs 165 to Rs 165.05 per unit, resulting in a combined transaction value of Rs 36.56 billion.

Among the buyers, Larsen & Toubro acquired more than 38 million units, equivalent to a 1.25 per cent stake in Altius InvIT, at an average price of Rs 165 per unit. The transaction was valued at approximately Rs 6.27 billion.
